Hello! Long time no chat. I thought I would share 10 things to know about me! I was thinking about what I wanted to post next since it’s been almost 4 months since my last published post and a lot of things in my life have been thrown upside down as I’m sure many of you can understand if you read during the time I post this. However, if you are reading this many months or evens years later let me take you down memory lane. I am currently on week 3 of working full time from home due to the COVID-19 Pandemic and with the whirlwind of news and new information brought to our attention every day I thought now would be a great opportunity for some distractions even if it is for a few minutes while you scroll through my post or even my website.
With all that said let’s get to know each other a little better. Don’t worry I will go first!
Ten things about me!
I work home full time. I know it sounds exciting, right? Well, you would be right…partially. While it is nice that I get to wake up and not have to get “ready” for the day. All I have to do is to change from one set of pajamas to a new pair of sweats or even pajamas. The one thing I wouldn’t think I would miss that much is being around other people even if we don’t talk just having the company of another human instead of all my fur children. Although they are a bit cuter 😉 My job consists of me working with those who are in the healthcare field and for that reason, I am not going to go into much detail as to what I do out of respect for the company and my privacy.
I have 3 fur children. Like I mentioned above I have 3 fur children. You may have already known this fun fact if you have read my “about me” page or any of the other posts I may have brought them up in. The oldest of them is Rocco he is the 12-year-old Pomeranian I have had since I was in 6th Grade Than we have Argo he is our 7-year-old Belgian Malinois this is clays dog that he has had since he first moved to California and we Ronin our 1-year-old Maine Coon cat. They are all a handful and wonderful snuggle bugs at the same time and I wouldn’t have it any other way.
I love cooking. My favorite passion of mine is cooking and baking and seeing how new recipes I try to turn out and all the ways I can adjust them to make them my own. You can see some of them here. I love any kind of cookbook and going through them to mark a page of something I would love to test out. My biggest Pinterest board is my Food one! My newest accomplishment is my Macarons not that I would say I perfected them but still were edible HAHA!
I secretly love fashion. I say secretly because you wouldn’t think looking at me in my day to day dress I am “into” fashion, my weekly wardrobe consists of my sweats, pajamas and workout clothes. I rarely dress up or wear jeans unless we are going out to a restaurant. now that I am working full time from home it makes it an even less likely chance I would dress up or wear something cute, However that doesn’t stop me from shopping and buying cute clothes that I know I will wear out someday. I have always loved design and even used to sketch wedding dresses in my notebooks growing up thinking I would grow up to be a dress designer.
I am a night owl. I am not a morning person one bit! I love the effects of caffeine and have even figured out a way to stand to drink coffee with my little concoction. I am most definitely a night owl since I do my best thinking and come up with most of my ideas and lists of things at night I even wrote my vows at 1 AM!
I love to travel. Most people I am sure to feel the same! I first got the taste for travel when I was senior in high school with my first time out of the country was with my choir class over spring break to Ireland, where I had the chance to sing in a cathedral on Easter Sunday as a guest choir ensemble. The next place I went to was New Zealand and Australia just 2 short years later with my College Communication class, where we had the opportunity to learn about the indigenous and traditional ways of cooking. Last and most recent was a Caribbean cruise with my fiance for our anniversary.
I have a fiance. If you don’t know already I live with my fiance Clay and have been together for 2 and a half years. We are going to be getting married next month May 30th in our favorite place, Washington state. This is where we became engaged and clays dad lives. We are so excited and can’t wait to celebrate with all our family and friends who travel with us!
I’ve moved a lot. Not necessarily a fun fact but it is something that has made me who I am. I am very introverted because of it but it also makes me very adaptable to changes and new scenarios. I have moved probably close to 17-19 times I’ve lost track now that I have my own home. I know for certain I am not done moving yet either and will most like move a handful of more time while we figure out our lives and how we grow as a family in the years to come!
I’m a low key gamer. I love to spend my hours after logging off work to play games on my computer or my Xbox. Secretly it helps me relieve any tension, stress or pent up anger I may have and I love that it can be relaxing and heart-pounding all depending on the games you choose to play. I know many people have opinions on video games but I enjoy them. I usually am playing either Skyrim or Sims 4. A couple of other fun games are Sid Meier’s Pirates, Spore, The Witcher 3, Castle Crashers and Zoo Tycoon.
I love talking. Not a surprise if you know me personally but it may be kinda shocking since I did state earlier that I am so introverted. I tried to dabble a bit with youtube but me being so awkward in front a camera and talking about it with family and friends made me shut down right away, however, I still love sharing my thoughts and experience with others but I just don’t seem to have the right crowd behind me. The whole reason I wanted to vlog. I want to share my life with those who are willing to hear me out!
Now that you may know me a little better I hope you stick around to see what else I have to offer the blogging world.
